1. Welcome and Introductions
David Foster welcomed everyone and introduced Matthew Deaves.
2. Matthew Deaves (RBC) came to give a short talk on Supporting Communities and how Rugby Borough Council communicates what is being done.
The Council are at present running an “End to End” reviews of their services, this includes looking at what the council does and how the processes can be streamlined, the Planning Department are at present going through this process. This streamlining enables the processes of planning applications to be given a decision in 4 week’s where as before it could take 8 weeks or more.
Housing and Benefits have also gone through this review. It was suggested by David that “we” should blow our own trumpets a bit more, he suggested he and Matthew should get together after Christmas to discuss ways of making the forum more aware of what RBC does.
3. Present: Matthew Deaves, Andrew Cowan, Mala Solanki, Louisa Smiton, Suzanne Vandervelden, Gordon Boyle, Sarah-May Janans, Joyce Carter, Martin Eversfield, Tony Woffenden, Anne Cooper, Karen Talbot, Sue Hillman, Pat Clarke, M. Sheasby, A. Cooper
Apologies: Derek Hillman, Pat Waite, Brian, John, Pamela and Fiona The Forum would like to send their sympathy to Derek and Pat who are presently not well.
